Inspired by Aruna, the warm glow of sunrise in India.
Our artisans are currently weaving this design entirely by hand, with delivery expected in April/May, just in time for the new season. Crafted from hand-spun, hand-dyed, and handwoven cotton using the traditional ikat technique, this piece is inspired by Aruna, a quiet reference to the warm tones of sunrise. Every step of the process, from dyeing and spinning the yarn to weaving, is carried out by hand using age-old methods passed down through generations. The intentionally slow and precise process ensures each piece is unique, with a rich texture and natural variation. Lightweight, breathable, and effortlessly elegant, The Checkmate Dress is designed for summer, resort wear, and refined layering.
Consciously made. Woven with care. Designed to last.
